Any chance the binaries will be updated soon?
Failing that, any tips on building? Opened the project in QTCreator and gave it a shot but I run into linking issues. Just getting started with the QT ecosystem so not entirely sure where those libraries should be coming from.

Ran into the same linking errors when I tried to compile for QTC 2.7 on Windows. Seems like 2.7 doesn't ship the needed libraries, only the DLL files. However building Qt Creator from source fixed that for me.
Building Qt Creator from source wasn't that much of a problem, just make sure you have the latest Windows 8 SDK installed (at least it was needed when building using Visual Studio 2010, not sure about MinGW).
